I am astonished and amazed! Amazed and astonished! Well, I suppose it was bound to happen, that the Harriet Klausner would review a romance of mine.
But still, I'm tickled pink.
Here's what she said about MADE FOR SIN, whose official release date is tomorrow:
"This is a terrific Regency romance that effortlessly merges erotica into its two subplots; starring a sister in each with the hunk they love. The siblings and their men are fully developed while the support cast, mostly two spouses of soldiers, enhances the tale by better understanding the life of a fighting man...sub-genre readers will appreciate this hot historical."
I found it on her archive and a few other indices... You can find the link on my website, which I've finally updated.

"As the title implies, Inferno is utterly hot! It is a steamy story, well-told and masterfully peopled with Vivi Anna’s complex characters. Although I haven’t read Hell Kat, I had no problem at all following the plot of this one. Vivi Anna does a great job of weaving the threads of the original story and of Kat and Hades’ history into this tale, still, I can’t stand not knowing all the sultry little details, so I am picking up a copy of the original story and waiting with baited breath for the next installment. This is simply a great book. I am definitely looking forward to Kat’s further dark adventures." - Beverly
I'm extremely pleased with this review, as AAR doesn't give out many DIK. Actually they give out very few. And even less to erotic romance.
So needless to say...I'm walking on air!
Also, they conduct an annual reader's poll there every year. It's going on right now. So you want to submit a ballot for your favorite romances of 2006, go on over there and do so. Make your voice heard.
They have the interim results up and Inferno has made the list in several categories. Best Erotic Romance, best kick-ass heroine, best heroine, best couple, and best alternate romance. Very cool indeed!!
Check it out at AAR.

The Preditors and Editors Readers Poll is open, and NIGHT SPELL is currently in the top 10 in the romance category! Thanks to all of you who voted for it! I'm sending you big wet kisses!
I knew the reviewers loved this book. Just today, Romance Divas said: Ms. Betts' stories have a very sexy, dreamlike quality about them. Her writing style flows like silk and is full of beautiful imagery. I found each story engaging, and paced to perfection. Winged Dreams and Bed Sport made me want to go out and buy everything Ms. Betts has ever written.
And it's so rewarding to know that readers feel the same!
Also check out the other categories. I saw a number of Aphrodisia books in the Fantasy and Sci Fi categories, and your favorite review site might be nominated in the Writers Discussion Forum category.

By now, many of you know that I am the Mistress of Procrastination. Ninety-nine percent of my blog entries seem to revolve around the activities I will do to avoid writing. In October 2006, I scoured the Internet for pictures of celebrities that I [supposedly] look like. In December 2006, I posted a video here giving you a visual of my procrastination techniques. But tonight, I was really desperate – and not a single creative procrastination idea popped into my mind.
Just goes to show. Even the Mistress of Procrastination sometimes gets procrastination-block.
So. I did something I haven't done in over six months. I Googled my name – well, actually I used Yahoo! – and, a mere hour later, here are some of the highlights:
Australian-Swinger.com, "A Site For Sexually Adventurous Couples and Ladies" – Okay. I'm not a Couple ... I’m not Austrailian ... I’m not a Swinger ... About the only word in that string that could cover me is "lady." But that sounds so ... stodgy. At any rate, I don't know how they found me but I’m honored that they feature one of my books.
Astrologie-guide.de lists my web site under their Erotic Chat section. Definitely false advertising.
And 22-year old "Paul" in New Orleans lists ‘Rachelle Chase’ as one of his heroes because she’s “hot.” Obviously, Paul’s referring to another Rachelle Chase.
But, alas, procrastination must end and I must go do the inevitable: write. Sigh ... But if you find yourself in the mood to procrastinate, I just posted an excerpt from my December 2007 Aphrodisia title, Sin Club. Until next time ...
